Welcome to Chapel Hill Children and Adolescents’ Clinic. Our staff and board-certified pediatricians are pleased you have chosen us to provide preventive health and medical care for the infants, children, and adolescents in your family. We are a private pediatric practice independently owned by Dr. Michael Minozzi and Dr. Laura Windham.

minozziMichael F. Minozzi, M.D. – Dr. Minozzi graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York before completing his pediatric residency training at University of North Carolina Hospitals. He is married with two daughters and a son and understands both the joys and challenges of parenthood. Dr. Minozzi enjoys working with adolescent males and children with chronic diseases. He joined Chapel Hill Children and Adolescents’ Clinic in July 2002.

 

 
windhamLaura C. Windham, M.D. – Dr. Windham is originally from Buffalo but grew up in Asheville, North Carolina. At the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she received a BA in English with distinction. She continued through Medical School and her pediatric residency at UNC-Chapel Hill to become a third-generation physician in her family. Dr. Windham is married and has two young children. She joined Chapel Hill Children and Adolescents’ Clinic in July 2000.

 

 
fowlerAmy B. Fowler, M.D. – Dr. Fowler completed her preventive medicine and pediatric residency training with the University of North Carolina Hospitals. Dr. Fowler received her undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Duke University, her medical degree from UNC-Chapel Hill, and a Masters of Public Health at UNC-Chapel Hill in Maternal and Child Health. Dr. Fowler is married and has three children. She joined Chapel Hill Children and Adolescents’ Clinic in October 2007.

 

 
brookhartCarolyn C. Brookhart, M.D. – Dr. Brookhart grew up outside Boston. She attended Wellesley College where she majored in Chemistry and played Division III lacrosse. She became a Tar Heel when attending UNC School of Medicine. After completing her residency at Children’s Hospital Oakland in California and working in Boston for several years, Dr. Brookhart returned to North Carolina with her husband and two children. She joined Chapel Hill Children and Adolescents’ Clinic in July 2013.

 

 

 

 

Katharine C. Delgado, M.D. – Dr. Delgado is originally from Hanover, NH.  She received her undergraduate degree from Brown University, her medical degree from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, and her Masters of Public Health from UNC-Chapel Hill. She completed her pediatric and preventive medicine training at University of North Carolina Hospitals. Dr. Delgado speaks Spanish and studied in Mexico and Bolivia during her undergraduate years. She and her husband have 3 children and have served as foster parents. After finishing her pediatric training, Dr. Delgado worked for 11 years at a community health center in Chatham County. She joined Chapel Hill Children and Adolescents’ Clinic in June 2015.

 

Maria A. Matijasevic, M.D. – Dr. Matijasevic is originally from NYC. She spent sixteen years on the west coast during her undergraduate and medical training, graduating from UC Irvine, School of Medicine. After a year of family medicine training in Seattle, she completed her pediatrics residency at Children’s Hospital and Research Center in Oakland, California, where she focused on adolescent medicine and under-served populations. She worked in the Caribbean, Central America, the Philippines, and American Samoa before landing in North Carolina, where she plans to stay put for a while, with her partner and two young daughters. A Spanish-speaker, Dr. Matijasevic loves taking care of all children, from newborns to adolescents, and getting to know their families. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, art, and gardening. She joined Chapel Hill Children’s and Adolescents’ Clinic in May 2017.

 

colemanWilliam L. Coleman, M.D. – Dr. Coleman specializes in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. Prior to joining our team, Dr. Coleman worked at the Center for Development and Learning at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1985-2010. Dr. Coleman received his medical degree at the University of New Mexico Medical School in 1979, completed his residency at Duke University in 1982, and his fellowship at The Children’s Hospital in Boston. He is married and has grown children. He joined Chapel Hill Children and Adolescents’ Clinic in October 2010.

 

 

 

Nurses – Patty Beck, Sherry Mann, Sandy Walker, Jennifer Rodriguez, Arial Harris, and Elizabeth McKoy are available for advice over the phone or in person.  Medical Assistant Bathsheba Najera is here to help you with check in, immunizations, blood draws, and most other nursing tasks.

 

 

Front office – Jill Justus, Denise Del Cid Parada, and Erin Nguyen will make your appointments, take your messages and help you in any way they can.

 

 

Administrative staff – Christine Consoli manages our office and handles general questions. Lu McNairy, Courtney Foster, and Erin McGovern file insurance claims, enter payment information, and can help with insurance and billing questions.
